1) BN is an easier machining advanced ceramic than the others, it can achieve the accuracy of 0.01mm; 2) The dielectric strength is 2300V/cm, which is 8 times that of Al2O3; RT resistivity at 1000ºC>10-7 Ω.cm; 3) Excellent thermal shock resistance, recover one hundred times from 20ºC to 1000ºC without damage; 4) For common metals (iron, copper, aluminum, lead, etc.), rare earth metals, precious metals, semiconductor materials (germanium, silicon, potassium arsenide), glass, molten salts (crystallite, fluoride, slag), inorganic acids, Alkali does not react. Boron Nitride is one of technical synthetic ceramic material. It offer a unique combination of properties from high heat capacity and outstanding thermal conductivity to easy machinability, lubricity, low dielectric constant and superior dielectric strength .

Boron nitride ceramic parts widely used as ceramic insulators for high-temperature furnaces, side dams in thin-strip casting process, crucibles and containers for molten metals and break rings in horizontal continuous casting.
