Ceramic Substrate
PCB substrate materials mainly include Ceramic Substrates, resin substrates, and metal or metal matrix composite materials. Compared with metal and resin substrates, ceramic substrates have the following advantages: outstanding electrical insulation properties, excellent high-frequency characteristics, better thermal conductivity, compatibility with various electronic components, stable chemical properties, etc.
Ceramic substrates can be divided into Bare Ceramic Substrate and Metallized Ceramic Substrate according to the production process. The latter is obtained by surface metallization on the basis of the former. At present, Ceramic Substrate materials mainly include alumina ceramics, aluminum nitride ceramics and Silicon Nitride Ceramics.
